Jean James

Executive Assistant and Database Manager

Jean James is Rockburn Institute’s Executive Assistant and Database Manager.  She has been a member of the Rockburn team since 2005.

Her previous work experience includes working in the Personnel Departments for the Federal Highway Administration and the National Security Agency.  While at the National Security Agency, she held a high-level security clearance and held many positions including Secretary to the Deputy Director of Personnel.

In her current position with Rockburn Institute, Jean has coordinated and scribed Stakeholder meetings for a Maryland dual eligible ACO initiative involving individuals from Maryland Hospital Association, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, State Medical Societies, and Health Information Exchanges.  She has also worked with a multi-hospital system to independently produce multiple analytic and monitoring reports using an extensive software database.  Jean also works with our secure portal vendor to control and maintain access to our HIPAA secure database.

As Database Manager, Jean provides quality assurance for Rockburn’s CMS and client hospital databases.  These databases include Medicare hospitals from 2011 to present and associated Medicare performance of Value-Based Purchasing (VBP), Readmissions, Hospital-Acquired Conditions with a focus on Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary (MSPB).
